The purpose of the Garak Mall Landmark Project is to relaunch as a customer-centric, lifestyle-oriented 'One-Stop' food shopping mall.

Overview of Garak Mall Brand and Space Renewal




- Renewal of Garak Mall branding, signage, and 13 themed restaurants
- Improvement of Garak Mall transition spaces and renewal of the underground food plaza on the first basement level
- Sequential renewal of signage and spaces in Garak Mall's office zone, theme zone, and sales zone
Sky Park on the 3rd Floor of Garak Mall
- As the largest rooftop space in the Songpa district, the improvement project includes infrastructure work (paving blocks, artificial grass) and landscaping (planters, lighting) to create a terrace garden and rest areas.




Creation of a cultural space around the water tower area (Joint project by the City Hall, District Office, and Construction Corporation).


Artistic Transformation of the Water Tower
- Decommissioned Water Tower at Garak Market (Height: 32m, Built in 1986)
- International installation artist, Ned Kahn's work "Curtain of Rain"
- Installation of a collaborative artwork "Time of the Sea" with participation from 100 citizens


Green space park around the water purification tower
- Specialized street garden connected to the luxury street on Songpa-daero (7,000m²)
- Creating a tree-lined street full of greenery that invites walking
- Citizen vitality plaza where leisure and culture coexist

Transforming the decommissioned water tower, which ceased operation in 2004, into a public art installation and converting the surrounding green space into a park to create a venue for culture and the arts.
The Sky Park, reborn as a space for citizens' culture and relaxation, along with hosting various participatory events.
